War damages agricultural soil.

Conventional demining does not address ecological damage to farms.

We’re changing that.

CERAD is a consortium for explosives remediation and ecologically-informed agricultural development.

We are a community of farmers, explosive technicians, scientists, and humanitarians dedicated to protecting agricultural land. War destroys the soil that gives us clean air, water, and food, healthy grazing lands, and beautiful landscapes.

Post-conflict food security and climate resiliency depend on farm recovery, healthy demining, and healthy soil restoration practices.

War damages soil even after battle stops.

The use of explosive munitions in warfare causes tremendous harm to infrastructure, communities, and the environment. Clearing land of dangerous explosive hazards is only the first step in restoration.

It’s a Community Effort

By connecting farmers with soil scientists and explosive ordnance disposal experts, CERAD is designing and implementing greener methods of farm recovery after war.
